Roulette payouts are an important part of roulette strategy. They work like this. The odds are stated in the form of x to 1, which means you’ll win x dollars for every dollar you’ve bet. For example, the single number bet offers a payout of 35 to 1. If you win, you’ll get your dollar back plus the $35 for the win.
Color (Red/Black) Choose red or black on the table and be paid even money on any red or black number. Remember the green 0 and/or 00 which decreases your chances of winning. Even/Odd Much like the previous bet, this will pay 1:1 when you bet on odd or even. This applies to all odd numbers between 1-35.
During a roulette game, a player can only place a five-number bet once in every game. The five-number is quite different from the other inside bets. The odds of roulette table payouts are also unique for the five-number bet. Bets are placed on the following numbers 0, 00, 1, 2, and 3.
Basically, if the ball lands on zero, the player doesn’t lose the wager, instead it is locked in for another spin. If the next wager is a winner, the money will be released, if not it goes to the casino’s coffers. A slightly different type of outside bets are those that pay 2-1 as the odds of winning are just 33%.
The payout is 5:1, and the odds are 16.22% and 15.79% for European and American Roulette, respectively. Basket, or a five number bet, is available only in American roulette and allows players to bet on the zero, double zero, 1, 2, and 3. The probability of this bet winning is 13.16%, and the payout – 6:1.
The Types of Roulette Bets, Roulette Odds and Chip Placement (1) Straight (1 number): 35-1 payout (pays your original bet PLUS 35 units). The example covers number 2. (2) Split (2 numbers): 17-1 payout (pays your original bet PLUS 17 units). The example covers numbers 2 & 6. (3) Street (3 numbers): 11-1 payout (pays your original bet PLUS 11 units). With table games like roulette, the payoffs are in the form of 2 to 1, 3 to 1, 35 to 1, etc. This means that if you win the bet, you get to keep the amount you bet, and you get the winnings along with it. If you bet $100 on a single number at the roulette table and win, you get a payoff of $3,500. But you also get to keep your $100.
Placing a chip on one of the color spaces has a payout of 1 to 1. Players can also split their bet by placing a chip on the line between 2 numbers. If the ball lands on either of those numbers, the payout is 17 to 1. Similarly, players can place a chip on the outside border of a row of 3 numbers.
